While The Riftwar Saga follows a teenage magician named Pug, The Empire Trilogy centers on Mara of the Acoma, a member of a noble family who finds herself targeted by rival houses. The Riftwar Cycle primarily takes place on the worlds of Midkemia and Kelewan.
